Kharabsheh: there is no scientific proof that COVID-19 recovery cases have immunity against the virus

Ammon News - The chief of the Epidemiological Assessment committee in Jordan, Dr. Sa'ad Kharabsheh said that the medical condition in Jordan is critical, indicating that Jordan reached the maximum level of COVID-19 spread in the community.


He added that by the end of 2021, the vaccine will be available for only 20% of the world population, stressing that citizens shall wear face masks and adhere to social distancing until the pandemic is over.

He explained that there is no scientific proof until now that recovery cases have immunity against the virus.

The current situation is critical, stating that there are 180 thousand infections and 2000 deaths in Jordan until now.


The occupant percentage of hospital beds is 50%, the occupant percentage of ICU beds reached 52% and the occupant percentage of ventilators is 51%, he added.
