Man arrested in Jordan for attempting to steal a Saudi national’s car

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jordanian police arrested a man who attempted to steal a Saudi car last night at around 9pm in Amman.

The incident occurred when a Saudi national left his five children and maid in the car, with the engine on, in front of an apartment building at Jubaiha district.

The thief drove off the car with the kids aboard but lost control of the vehicle and smashed into another car. The vehicle ultimately hit concrete barriers before overturning three times.

A group of Jordanians who witnessed the incident hurried to help the Saudi man and chased the thief, reported local Arabic daily Sabq.

Amman Police director Colonel Dr. Amjad Al-Kharyasha said that the thief is wanted in connection with 20 other criminal cases.
