Ammon News - AMMONNEWS –– A Royal Decree was issued on Sunday promoting Major General Hussein Hazaa Majali, director of the Public Security Directorate (PSD), to the rank of lieutenant general as of December 12, 2010.

It is noted that Lieutenant General Majali was appointed by Royal Decree as PSD chief on May 10, 2010 to replace Lieutenant General Mazen Al Qadi.

Born in 1960, Majali, a graduate of the Citadel Academy in the U.S., served as Commander of the Royal Guard and personal military escort of His Majesty late King Hussein. He was later appointed as Jordan's Ambassador to Bahrain in January 2005.
