Ministry sets December 1 deadline for regularizing domestic workers
The Ministry of Labor said on Sunday that homeowners with domestic workers whose status is irregular have two options before December 1, 2026.
The ministry explained that the first option is to benefit from the exemptions outlined in the Cabinet's decision on the regularization period for non-Jordanian workers with irregular status, including a 50% discount on fees for each previous year and a full exemption from fines imposed by the Ministries of Labor and Interior.
The second option is to arrange a travel ticket for the worker and deport her out of the country without paying any work permit fees or fines.
