Ministry apprehends 28 domestic workers reported as absconding
The Ministry of Labor apprehended 28 domestic workers of different nationalities over the past few days, all of whom had been reported as absconding.
Ministry spokesperson Mohammad Al-Zyoud said inspection teams followed up on the cases and found that the workers had expired work and residency permits, with some having failed to renew their legal status for 10 years.
Al-Zyoud urged citizens not to hire or deal with domestic workers offering daily or hourly services, stressing that doing so is a clear violation of the Labor Law.
