Ajloun Summer Festival extended through August 8: JFDZ
The third Ajloun Summer Festival held at the Ajloun Cable Car site has been extended through Saturday, Aug. 8 following heavy attendance, according to the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZ).
In its statement released on Sunday, the JFDZ said the festival drew 'large' crowds to enjoy a mix of entertainment, cultural activities, and shopping venues.
The event features an 'integrated' market with local entrepreneurs, artisan families, and craftspeople from across the region. Visitors can purchase traditional handicrafts, popular local foods, rural goods, natural herbs, honey, and olive products, all showcasing Ajloun's 'rich' heritage.
On goals of the decision, JFDZG stated the extension would give the opportunity to more visitors to enjoy the festival, support local vendors and stimulate economic and tourism development across Ajloun governorate.
