Peak electricity load reached 4,160 megawatts (MW) on Saturday, according to figures released by the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO).
The company said the national electricity system continues to operate with a high level of reliability, noting that it has stepped up its operational readiness under pre-established plans to meet increased electricity demand amid persistently high temperatures.
