According to data from the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) reviewed by 'Ammon News', the value of facilities extended to medium-sized enterprises increased, reaching JD 2.119 billion in the first quarter of 2026, compared with JD 1.989 billion during the same period in 2025.
The total value of facilities granted to the private sector also increased during the same period in 2026, reaching JD 31.947 billion, compared with JD 31.023 billion in the first quarter of 2025.
Meanwhile, total facilities granted to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) rose in value to JD 3.479 billion in the first quarter of 2026, compared with JD 3.449 billion in the first quarter of 2025.
However, the share of total SME financing out of the private sector’s overall credit facilities declined, standing at around 10.9% in the first quarter of 2026, compared with 11.1% during the same period in 2025.
