Amman Field Hospital receives first patient in Emergency and ICU
The Amman Field Hospital received its first patient on Monday in its Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit (ICU), marking the official launch of operations for both departments as part of the Ministry of Health's plan to reopen the hospital and strengthen the readiness of the public healthcare system.
The opening of the Emergency Department and ICU comes as part of the ministry's ongoing measures to reactivate the Amman Field Hospital, contributing to support for Prince Hamzah Hospital, increasing healthcare capacity, improving emergency response, and enhancing the quality of medical services provided to citizens.
The Ministry of Health affirmed that the hospital's reopening is progressing according to the approved plan, ensuring the expansion of healthcare services, improved operational efficiency, and a stronger ability of the public health sector to meet citizens' needs.
The Amman Field Hospital includes 70 emergency beds, 44 intensive care beds, and 40 dialysis beds.
