Israel authorities orders seizure of dozens of dunams near Jenin
Israeli occupation authorities ordered the seizure of dozens of dunams of land belonging to the village of Zabda, near the town of Ya’bad southwest of Jenin.
Local sources said that Israeli authorities issued a military order to seize an estimated 61,652 dunams of the village's land, under the pretext of using it for military purposes.
The sources added that the order took effect from the date it was signed on May 12, 2026, and will remain in force until the end of 2028.
For his part, the head of the Zabda village council, Saleh Amarna, said that the council would pursue the matter through all legal channels and exert every possible effort to overturn the order.
He noted that a meeting would be held with the affected residents to discuss the upcoming steps.
This decision comes within the framework of the occupation's ongoing policy of seizing Palestinian land and expanding military bases and settlements in the West Bank.
