Online clothing orders may not arrive before Eid al-Adha, says Allan
President of the General Syndicate of Garment, Textile and Shoes Traders, Sultan Allan predicted that the upcoming Eid Al-adha will be 'free of postal packages', meaning there will be little to no purchasing of clothing online from outside the Kingdom, due to continued supply chain disruption.
In a conversation with Ammon, Allan warned citizens not to depend on online shopping platforms to buy Eid clothes, as packages may not arrive in their due time.
He also pointed in the rise of the garment sector in the time of Eid Al-Fitr, due to increased demand on local shops, and declined dependance on online shops due to supply chain disruptions caused by the current political situation.
Allan also confirmed that purchasing activity declined after Eid al-Fitr due to the sudden change in weather and the return of colder conditions.
The commercial activity is expected to pick up again once the weather stabilizes, he added.
