Under royal directives .. Jordan sends 15-truck aid convoy to Lebanon
Under royal directives, Jordan on Thursday dispatched a new humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon as part of its ongoing response to the humanitarian situation in the sisterly republic.
The convoy consists of 15 trucks carrying food supplies, medicines, and relief items, according to Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), Hussein Shibli.
Shibli noted that the convoy underscores the Kingdom’s steadfast humanitarian role in supporting sisterly nations during times of crisis. The effort is carried out by the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, and in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
He added that the Jordanian move comes in response to an urgent humanitarian duty that cannot be delayed, stressing that this effort will not be temporary but rather a sustained commitment for as long as the need persists.
He further explained that this step is an extension of Jordan’s ongoing efforts to support the Lebanese people, which included previous relief shipments, most recently a convoy of 25 trucks sent in March, under royal directives to assist Lebanon amid difficult circumstances.
