FM holds talks with Saudi, Turkish counterparts on regional developments
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi held extensive talks early Thursday with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, on the sidelines of a consultative ministerial meeting in Riyadh attended by foreign ministers from a number of Arab and Islamic countries.
The meeting addressed the latest regional developments, including ongoing Iranian attacks on countries in the region, and emphasized continued bilateral coordination on these issues. The two ministers also discussed efforts aimed at de-escalation and promoting security and stability across the region.
Safadi also held a trilateral meeting with his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, during which they reviewed current developments and stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation.
