Momani: Jordan's stance is clear line of fire against displacement
Government Communication Minister Mohammad Momani said on Saturday that Jordan's stance is a clear line of fire against displacement.
In a post on X, Momani stated that international law prohibits the forced transfer of populations from occupied territories, and forced displacement is a war crime and a crime against humanity.
Neither the Palestinian people nor any country in the region, especially Jordan, accepts forced displacement, Momani added.
Momani stressed that the right of return is a constant, fundamental, and legal human right, noting that displacement is a blatant assault on the rights of the Palestinian people, their land, and their state, an assault on the sovereignty of states, and a declaration of war.
Also, the Minister pointed out that the occupation is using a policy of starvation to achieve displacement, a hateful policy that reveals the moral and political bankruptcy of the extreme Israeli right.
