Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan on Sunday laid the foundation stone for the Jerash Eco-Tourism Village project, which he had directed to begin implementation in November 2024 as an alternative to the industrial city.

The project is slated for completion by mid-2027, making it one of the most prominent projects that will contribute to strengthening the tourism sector in the governorate.

The Jerash Eco-Tourism Village project provides a unique and integrated tourism environment. It includes the construction of an integrated eco-park, utilizing modern and sustainable ecosystems that reflect the region's identity and nature. It also includes an eco-friendly hotel, a conference hall, family and children's facilities, playgrounds, and adventure activities. It also provides a space for displaying and marketing local products.
