Jordan condemns Israeli incursion into Syrian territory
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned, in the strongest terms, the continued Israeli violations and its incursion into Syrian territory on Monday, including the bombing of a Syrian citizen's home, which resulted in his death.
Also, the Ministry condemned Israel's announcement of its continued illegal presence in Mount Hermon and the buffer zone, considering it a flagrant violation of international law and a dangerous escalation targeting Syria's stability, sovereignty, and security.
The Ministry's official spokesperson, Sfyan Qudah, stressed the need for Israel to halt these repeated attacks on Syrian territory, which constitute a flagrant violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement between Syria and Israel and an assault on the sovereignty of an Arab state, in clear violation of the United Nations Charter.
Qudah reiterated the Kingdom's full support and solidarity with Syria, its security, stability, sovereignty, and the integrity of its territory and citizens, emphasizing that Syria's security and stability are a pillar of regional stability.
