Jordan Basketball Federation refuses to play against Israel
The Jordan Basketball Federation announced that the national youth team will not participate in Sunday’s scheduled match against Israel in the FIBA Basketball World Cup.
The decision follows an official letter sent by the federation to the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), in which it expressed its apology and formally requested the match be canceled.
In response, FIBA confirmed that the game will not take place and stated that a ruling will be issued awarding the result in favor of the Israeli team.
