Gov't cancels requirement to deposit JD10,000 for foreigners who own real estate
The Cabinet, in its session held on Wednesday, headed by Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan, decided to approve amending its previous decision regarding determining the value of bank deposits for foreigners wishing to renew their annual residencies, by cancelling the condition of reserving a deposit of JD10,000 for those who own a property, provided they maintain ownership and have completed two years of previous residence.
Non-property owners will benefit from deposit reductions from JD20,000 to JD10,000, measures expected to stimulate investment inflows.
