Local gold prices drop by 20 piasters, 14 karat is priced for first time
Saturday, the price of gold in local market dropped by 20 piasters, according to the General Syndicate of Owners of Trade and Jewelry Shops.
The selling price for 21-carat gold is JD59.40 per gram, while the purchase price is JD57.40, according to the Jordanian Jewellers Syndicate (JJS).
The selling price of gold per gram for 24-carat and 18-carat reached JD68.10 and JD52.80 respectively.
For the first time, the Syndicate added a special price for 14-karat gold, which was not previously traded in the markets, as the price per gram reached JD40.10.
