France on Tuesday affirmed its strong rejection of the forced displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
'France’s position has not changed: any forced displacement of Gaza’s population would be unacceptable,' the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Paris emphasized that such actions would constitute 'a serious violation of international law' and warned of far-reaching consequences for the region.
'It would be a major obstacle to the two-state solution and a destabilizing factor for our close partners, Egypt and Jordan,' the statement added.
The ministry said 'Gaza’s future lies with a future Palestinian state,' underscoring its commitment to a two-state solution.
