AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Saturday called His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein, the Regent, from Washington to follow up on the measures that had been taken to deal with the aftermath of flashfloods that swept large areas of the Kingdom yesterday and took a number of lives.
During the phone call, Prince Hussein brought the King up-to-date on the rescue efforts and evacuations undertaken by various state agencies and institutions since yesterday, in addition to precautionary measures to ensure the safety of citizens in various regions of the Kingdom, which was affected by exceptional and difficult weather conditions.
Prince Hussein said that he was in direct and constant contact with all state agencies through the National Center for Security and Crisis Management to follow up on the consequences of the emergency weather conditions.
