AMMONNEWS - The Kingdom recorded 16 new COVID-19 on Monday, bringing caseload across the country to 629, according to the Ministry of Health.

In an NCSCM's briefing on COVID-19, Minister of Health Dr. Sa'ad Jaber said that seven of the 16 newly-recorded cases were contacts of the Mafraq trucker, four Jordanian truck drivers at the borders, three Jordanians who had returned form Malaysia and two from the northern governorate of Irbid, both of whom contracted the virus from unknown sources.

On a more positive note, Jaber said that five patients had recovered from COVID-19, a respiratory disease caused by the highly contagious coronavirus, as only 140 patients remain under treatment.
