AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Monday visited the Musab Bin Omeir Secondary School in the Ramtha Governorate, after a fire at the school yesterday that injured a number of students and teachers.

The Prime Minister conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah's greetings to the teachers and students and the people of the northern city, as well as his wishes to the injured for a speedy recovery.

He lauded the "responsible" response of the teachers, locals and the Civil Defense and Public Security personnel, who were prompt to evacuate the school after the fire erupted.

During his visit, Razzaz had a first-hand look at the site in the aftermath of the fire, and ordered that a maintenance team be formed to repair the damage to allow students to return to their classrooms as quickly as possible.

For the time being, students of the Musab Bin Omeir School will continue their classes in a nearby school until the repair work is completed, he added.
