Ammon News - The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) urged citizens to exercise caution and follow preventive guidelines in light of the weather conditions expected on Friday and Saturday.
According to weather forecasts issued by the relevant authorities, Jordan will be affected by a relatively cold air mass, with occasional rain showers expected in the northern and central regions and parts of the southwestern areas. Rainfall may be heavy at times and accompanied by thunderstorms in some areas.
The spokesperson urged citizens to adhere to the following safety guidelines:
- Stay away from valley banks, flood channels, and low-lying areas.
- Exercise caution when driving on roads experiencing rainfall and be alert to the risk of skidding.
- Reduce speed and maintain a safe distance while driving in areas affected by fog, particularly during the morning hours in mountainous areas and parts of the Badia and plains.
- Take necessary precautions when driving in the Badia, where dust may reduce horizontal visibility.
- Use all types of heating equipment safely and properly, and ensure adequate ventilation.
The spokesperson also affirmed that Public Security Directorate personnel are fully prepared to respond to various weather conditions and emergencies.
Citizens were urged to follow the guidelines and instructions issued by the relevant authorities and to call the unified emergency number (911) whenever necessary.
