Ammon News - The Ministry of Labour announced that the ministry’s inspection teams, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, have apprehended 20 domestic workers over the past few days for violating the Labour Law after fleeing and leaving the homes of the employers who had recruited them.
Ministry spokesperson Mohammad Zyoud said that the ministry will continue its intensive inspection campaigns to apprehend domestic workers who have absconded from their jobs, aiming to regulate the labour market and curb such cases.
He noted that inspection teams are continuing their field visits across various areas to identify and apprehend more workers in violation of the law.
He emphasized that the ministry will take legal action, in accordance with applicable legislation, against anyone found to be cooperating with such workers, whether by employing or sheltering them or facilitating their absence from work.
Zyoud called on citizens and employers not to deal with or employ workers who are in violation of the law, and to report any violations through the ministry’s official channels, in order to protect their rights and maintain stability in the labour market.
