The attack left eight people dead and others injured.

The patriarchs and heads of churches in Jerusalem also called on Friday for all churches across the region to ring their bells at 12 noon Jordan time, in solidarity with the victims and the injured, and to offer prayers for the souls of those killed and the recovery of the wounded.
In a statement issued on Friday, the patriarchs and church leaders condemned the terrorist attack that targeted worshippers during a funeral service inside the church, stressing that attacking civilians in places of worship constitutes a violation of religious and humanitarian values.
They expressed solidarity with the families of those killed and injured, affirming that such acts would not succeed in undermining the unity of Jordanians or the Kingdom’s historic coexistence between Muslims and Christians.
The bells of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem also rang on Friday in mourning for the victims of the terrorist attack and in solidarity with Jordan.
