Ammon News - Egypt’s National Defense Council, headed by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, had agreed on Sunday to provide all necessary and possible support to Saudi Arabia.

The council reviewed the latest regional developments and the serious situation unfolding across the region, particularly amid escalating attacks against Saudi Arabia.

Accordingly, it has been decided that Egypt stands in full solidarity with the Kingdom due to the histroic ties between both countries and their people, the official spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency said in a statement.

The council also agreed to "provide all necessary and possible forms of support to Saudi Arabia to defend its security and stability, protect its resources and territorial integrity, and safeguard Islamic holy sites."
