04-10-2026 01:26 PM

Ammon News - Results of an assessment of Prime Minister Jafar Hassan’s government two years after its formation showed that a majority of members of the parliament (MPs) and political parties support a Cabinet reshuffle.

The assessment, conducted by Al-Hayat Center - RASED, was based on monitoring Cabinet decisions and following up on Economic Modernisation Vision projects for 2026, in addition to two surveys of MPs and Jordanian political parties.

Only 6% of MPs who participated in the survey supported keeping Hassan's government unchanged, while 29% backed its continuation with a limited reshuffle, according to the assessment.

Another 31% said the ministerial team should be reshuffled to include political parties in the government, while 34% supported a broader reshuffle.

If the government continues into its third year, 47% of MPs expected its relationship with the House of Representatives to remain largely unchanged, while 19% expected greater cooperation and coordination and 28% expected relations to become more tense. Another 7% did not provide an expectation.

Among political parties, only 15% supported the continuation of the government with a limited reshuffle, while 31% called for a broader reshuffle and 54% supported changing the ministerial team and bringing political parties into the government.

Regarding the relationship between the government and the House of Representatives during its third year, 69% of parties expected it to remain largely unchanged, while 12% expected greater cooperation and coordination and 15% expected relations to become more tense. Another 4% did not provide an expectation.
