Ammon News - Weather specialists at ArabiaWeather said computer simulation readings indicate further changes in atmospheric patterns during October, with increasing chances of cold upper-air troughs passing through the higher layers of the atmosphere, away from the surface, alongside noticeable activity from the Red Sea low to the south.
The combination is expected to increase the chances of atmospheric instability affecting Jordan.
Parts of the Kingdom may experience unstable weather around October 6-7, with temperatures expected to fall 5-7 degrees Celsius below seasonal averages.
Conditions are forecast to be generally mild to relatively cold, with cloud cover and a chance of rain across several areas.
Red Sea low expected to strengthen during October
Forecasts indicate that the Red Sea low could become more active and extend farther north, pushing warm, moisture-laden air from southern areas toward the region.
Cold upper-air troughs may also cross the region, increasing the temperature difference between relatively warm lower atmospheric layers and colder air aloft.
This contrast can increase atmospheric instability and strengthen rising air currents, creating favorable conditions for cumulonimbus cloud formation.
With sufficient moisture, these conditions could bring rainfall of varying intensity, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms, stronger winds and hail in some areas, depending on the strength and location of each weather system.
