Ammon News - An Arabic language teacher at a public school in Zarqa Governorate has revealed that he was attacked with a saw by one of the students, resulting in an injury to his hand.
According to the teacher, he entered a classroom during the third period and was surprised to find a student who was not enrolled in that class behaving inappropriately toward the students. He calmly asked the student to leave the classroom, but the student allegedly threatened to assault him before another teacher intervened and escorted him out.
The teacher added that he reported the incident to the school principal, who then took the student to the administration office, while the teacher continued his workday as usual.
After the school day ended, the teacher went to a mosque to perform the Dhuhr prayer. There, he was surprised to find the same student waiting for him. The student asked to speak with him before allegedly pulling out a saw from behind his back and swinging it toward the teacher's face.
The teacher said he raised his hand at the last moment to protect his face, causing the injury to his hand instead. He then fled and sought refuge inside the mosque, where he contacted the police and civil defense authorities.
