14-09-2026 08:23 AM

Ammon News - Above-average warmth will ease on Tuesday, bringing moderate weather to most regions after a relatively hot Monday, while the Badia and low-lying areas remain hot, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

Temperatures on Monday are forecast to run slightly above seasonal averages, with relatively hot conditions across most of the country. Hotter weather will prevail in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, while moderate northwesterly winds may pick up at times.

A slight drop in temperatures on Tuesday will bring a return to moderate conditions across most regions. The change will be less pronounced in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, where hot weather is expected to persist.

The cooler spell will be interrupted by a modest rise on Wednesday, when relatively hot conditions return to most parts of the country. Temperatures are then forecast to ease again on Thursday, restoring moderate weather across most regions.

Monday's highs are expected to reach 34 degrees Celsius in East Amman and 32 C in West Amman, compared with 30 C in the northern highlands and 31 C in the Sharah highlands. The Badia will reach 38 C.

The hottest conditions will remain in the low-lying areas, with highs of 39 C in the northern Jordan Valley and at the Dead Sea, and 40 C in the southern Jordan Valley and Aqaba.
