Ammon News - The Eastern Military Zone foiled two attempts at dawn on Tuesday to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics into Jordan using guided balloons along its area of responsibility.

Border Guard units detected the balloons, intercepted them, and brought them down inside Jordanian territory. The narcotics they were carrying were seized in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND).

The confiscated materials were handed over to the relevant authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures.

The Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army reaffirmed their commitment to firmly confronting all smuggling and infiltration attempts across the borders, monitoring the various methods used in such operations, and taking the necessary operational measures to thwart them.
