Labour ministry working to provide jobs for disabled - Murad

Ammon News - AMMAN - HRH Prince Raad, Chief Chamberlain and president of the Higher Council for the Affairs of People with Disabilities (HCAPD), on Sunday discussed with Minister of Labour Samir Murad means to provide job opportunities to the disabled, according to a labour ministry statement.

During the meeting, which was held at the ministry’s headquarters, Prince Raad called for exerting more efforts to implement His Majesty King Abdullah’s vision of achieving a decent life for persons with disabilities, the statement said. In a bid to curb unemployment, the Ministry of Labour is working on creating job opportunities for job seekers, especially for disabled persons, through its recruitment and employment directorates, which link job seekers with available job opportunities and organise job fairs.

A total of 44 persons with disabilities have been provided with jobs by the ministry from the beginning of this year to July, according to the statement.
