Ammon News - Lawyers in Jordan are returning to work on Tuesday, following the end of the judicial recess declared by the Jordan Bar Association in accordance with the law.
Jordan’s courts have made extensive preparations to receive visitors and lawyers and resume work at full capacity.
Article 44 of the Judicial Independence Law and its amendments No. 15 of 2001 stipulates that the annual judicial recess runs from July 1 through August 30 of each year, with each judge entitled to take annual leave during this period.
The Jordan Bar Association Council had decided that the judicial recess would begin on the morning of Thursday, July 16, 2026, and continue until the end of business on Monday, August 31, 2026.
