Ministry says no food poisoning cases at Jaber Border Crossing

30-08-2026 02:25 PM

Ammon News - The Ministry of Health and the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) said there have been no recorded cases of food poisoning in the Jaber border area, stressing that reports circulating on the matter do not reflect the available medical and regulatory data.

The ministry and the JFDA explained that 19 people visited a hospital with various health complaints, noting that the majority showed no symptoms related to the digestive system. Only four individuals experienced mild symptoms, which, they said, do not indicate cases of food poisoning.

The Ministry of Health affirmed that any case suspected of being linked to food poisoning is handled in accordance with the approved protocol, in coordination with the JFDA, with all necessary measures taken to verify the case and determine its causes.
