Ammon News - More than 25,000 people attended the third Ajloun Cable Car Summer Festival, which concluded after 10 days of cultural, artistic and recreational activities aimed at expanding the site's appeal as a year-round tourism destination.
The festival combined the cable car experience and Ajloun's natural scenery with a program targeting different age groups, including live performances, family entertainment, children's theater, a book fair and horse shows.
A dedicated bazaar also showcased rural products, handicrafts and locally made goods from Ajloun, giving local producers and artisans an opportunity to benefit directly from visitor traffic generated by the event.
A concert by Jordanian singer Najem Al-Salman was among the festival's main attractions, alongside a range of cultural and entertainment activities designed for families and young visitors.
The Jordan Free and Development Zones Group said the turnout reflects the growing role of Ajloun Cable Car as a tourism attraction and demonstrates the potential of organized events to stimulate tourism and economic activity in the governorate.
The group said such events can also broaden the benefits of tourism for surrounding communities by directing visitor spending toward local products and services.
The festival forms part of efforts to develop Ajloun Cable Car beyond the ride itself into a broader tourism, cultural and entertainment destination supported by a regular calendar of activities throughout the year.
Organizers said this approach is intended to encourage repeat visits by combining the area's natural attractions with changing recreational and cultural experiences.
Visitors to the third edition included families, young people and groups from across the Kingdom, as well as Arab and international tourists.
The festival's turnout, the group said, demonstrates the value of combining Ajloun's natural assets with organized events to strengthen the governorate's tourism offering and encourage longer and repeat visits.
