Ammon News - His Majesty King Abdullah II is set to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday during a state visit to the People’s Republic of China aimed at advancing bilateral relations, particularly in the economic field.

The two countries’ governments are expected to sign a number of cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding across various sectors during the visit, which is accompanied by a Jordanian economic ministerial delegation.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said during a meeting Sunday with Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese Foreign Minister, that King Abdullah II’s talks with President Xi Jinping on Monday would open broader avenues for cooperation between Jordan and China in a way that serves their mutual interests.
