Ammon News - The Southern Military Zone foiled an infiltration attempt early Sunday morning involving four individuals who were spotted by border guards while attempting to cross the border illegally through one of the zone’s border fronts.

The border guards dealt with the infiltrators in accordance with the applicable rules of engagement, successfully apprehended them, and referred them to the relevant authorities to take the necessary legal measures against them.

The foiled infiltration attempt comes as part of the continuous efforts by the Jordan Armed Forces to protect the Kingdom’s borders and counter illegal crossings, amid a high state of readiness and continuous monitoring of the border fronts.

The Border Guard Forces continue to carry out their duties to protect the Kingdom’s security and sovereignty and counter any illegal movements or activities that could pose a threat to national security, contributing to the security and stability of border areas and safeguarding the country.
