Ammon News - Temperatures are expected to rise gradually over the next two days, bringing hot conditions to most regions by Tuesday after a relatively mild start to the week, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

Mild summer weather will prevail on Sunday across the highlands and plains, while hot conditions are expected in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly winds are forecast to become active at intervals during the evening.

A slight rise in temperatures is forecast on Monday, when relatively hot weather will spread across most parts of the country. Very hot conditions are expected in the Badia and the low-lying regions, including the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly winds may briefly strengthen during the day.

Temperatures are expected to edge higher again on Tuesday, bringing hot weather across most regions. Very hot conditions will persist in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, accompanied by moderate northwesterly winds that may become briefly active.

Sunday's temperatures are forecast to reach 34 degrees Celsius in East Amman and 31 C in West Amman, while highs of 30 C are expected in the northern highlands, 28 C in the Sharah highlands and 34 C across the plains.

Higher temperatures are forecast in the desert and low-lying regions, reaching 39 C in the Badia, 40 C in the northern Jordan Valley and Aqaba, 41 C at the Dead Sea and 42 C in the southern Jordan Valley.
