Ammon News - Temperatures are forecast to remain near seasonal averages through Tuesday before a gradual rise begins on Wednesday, bringing relatively hot conditions across most regions by Thursday, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

Monday will see a slight drop in temperatures, with mild summer weather prevailing across most areas and hot conditions continuing in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Clouds at varying altitudes are expected, with a chance of light rain showers over limited parts of the northern regions during the evening.

Moderate northwesterly winds are forecast to become active at times.

Similar conditions are expected on Tuesday, with mild summer weather continuing across most regions and hot conditions persisting in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Low clouds are forecast over northern areas, while moderate northwesterly winds may strengthen occasionally.

Temperatures are expected to edge higher on Wednesday, although conditions will remain mild across the highlands and plains. Hot weather will prevail in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with moderate winds shifting between northwesterly and northeasterly directions and becoming active at times.

The warming trend will continue on Thursday, when another slight increase in temperatures is forecast. Relatively hot weather is expected across most regions, while very hot conditions will prevail in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Winds will remain moderate, shifting between northeasterly and northwesterly directions.

Monday's temperatures are forecast to reach 32 degrees Celsius in East Amman and 30 C in West Amman. Highs are expected at 29 C in the northern highlands, 27 C in the Sharah highlands and 32 C across the plains.

The highest temperatures will be recorded in the desert and low-lying regions, reaching 36 C in the Badia, 39 C in the northern Jordan Valley, 40 C at the Dead Sea and in Aqaba, and 41 C in the southern Jordan Valley.
