Ammon News - The newly appointed Deputy Prime Ministers, Walid Al-Masri and Mohannad Shahadeh Khalil Khalil, along with Minister of Education and Human Resource Development Azmi Mahafzah, will take the constitutional oath before His Majesty King Abdullah II at noon on Tuesday as part of the third cabinet reshuffle of Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan's government.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi will not take the oath, nor will Minister of Labour Nidal Qatamin, as both have already been sworn in previously.
The reshuffle leaves Prime Minister Hassan with three deputies: Safadi as First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Local Administration Al-Masri as Second Deputy Prime Minister for Municipal Affairs, and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Khalil Khalil as Third Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs.
The cabinet reshuffle is limited to the merger of the Ministries of Education and Higher Education, with Azmi Mahafzah assuming the newly formed Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, in line with constitutional and legal requirements, in addition to the appointment of two new deputy prime ministers.
