Ammon News - Jordan is expected to experience typical summer weather through Thursday, with temperatures remaining close to seasonal averages before climbing on Friday, bringing hotter conditions across much of the country, the Jordan Meteorological Department said on Tuesday.

The department said Tuesday's weather will remain seasonally warm in most regions, with pleasant summer conditions prevailing over the highlands and plains. Hot weather is forecast in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, while moderate northwesterly winds are expected to become active at times, particularly in desert areas.

Little change is expected on Wednesday, as typical summer conditions continue across most parts of the Kingdom. Hot weather will persist in the Badia and the low-lying regions, including the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, under moderate northwesterly winds.

A gradual warming trend is forecast to begin on Thursday, with temperatures edging higher. Weather conditions are expected to remain seasonal in the mountainous areas, while relatively hot to hot conditions spread across the rest of the country. Winds will shift between northeasterly and northwesterly directions at moderate speeds.

Temperatures are expected to rise slightly again on Friday, making it the warmest day of the forecast period. Relatively hot weather is forecast across most regions, while very hot conditions are expected in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

Tuesday's temperatures are forecast to reach 33 degrees Celsius in East Amman and 31 C in West Amman. Highs are expected to reach 29 C in both the northern and Sharah highlands, while the plains are forecast to record 33 C.

The highest temperatures will remain concentrated in Jordan's desert and low-elevation regions, with forecasts pointing to 38 C in the Badia, 40 C in the northern Jordan Valley and at the Dead Sea, and 41 C in both the southern Jordan Valley and Aqaba.
