Ammon News - Israeli authorities issued six military orders overnight to seize 498 dunams of Palestinian-owned land in various areas east of Tubas Governorate.
The official in charge of settlement affairs in Tubas Governorate said that the military orders target lands in Tubas, Tayasir, al-Aqaba, Ibziq, and Raba. He affirmed that the orders are an extension of the "Crimson Thread" project, which the occupation announced at the end of last year and began implementing this year.
For its part, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission clarified that the orders target 498 dunams of Palestinian-owned land in the governorate. Its records show that the occupation has allocated 360,172 dunams of land previously declared "state land," representing approximately 72.3% of the total targeted area.
Israeli authorities have previously issued several military orders seizing hundreds of dunams of Palestinian land in the Tubas governorate, while also isolating thousands of dunams of agricultural and grazing land, particularly in the northern Jordan Valley.
During the past period, the occupation also destroyed hundreds of dunams of agricultural land and water pipelines in the Atouf area, one of the areas through which the so-called “Crimson Thread” project passes, which negatively affected the economic reality in the agricultural area.
