Ammon News - The summer session of the theoretical Shamel exam, the annual comprehensive final exam for community college students, is set to begin Sunday through Thursday, July 30, according to the President and Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Shamel Exam at Al Balqa Applied University (BAU), Dr. Ahmed Ajlouni.

The President said that 2,605 students from 52 university colleges and community colleges supervised by the university are registered for the theoretical exams this session. A total of 1,547 students will sit for the first paper on Sunday, 1,726 students for the second paper on Tuesday, July 28, and 2,143 students for the third paper on Thursday, July 30.

Students will take exams across 20 academic programs covering 93 specializations. Ajlouni noted that the theoretical exams will be conducted entirely electronically, with nine examination halls approved across seven centers in various governorates of the Kingdom, supervised by around 250 staff members from university and community colleges.

He also stated that the university's Evaluation and General Examinations Unit has completed the grading, processing, auditing, and entry of practical computerized exam results into the comprehensive exam system. The practical exams were held between July 13 and 15, 2026, with 1,387 students participating.

Ajlouni indicated that the results of the Summer 2026 Comprehensive Exam are expected to be announced in mid-August after final approval by the Higher Examination Committee and the Board of Deans of Al-Balqa Applied University.
