Jordanian referees to feature in 2026 FIFA World Cup final

Ammon News - Jordan’s name will be present at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, set to take place on Sunday evening in the United States, featuring Argentina and Spain.

Jordanian referees Adham Makhadmeh and Mohammad Khalaf will represent the Kingdom at football’s biggest global event.

Makhadmeh has been appointed as the fourth official, while Khalaf will serve as the fifth assistant referee (reserve) for the final match watched by millions around the world.

The Jordanian officiating team, consisting of Adham Makhadmeh, Ahmad Al-Rawaili, and Mohammad Khalaf, has overseen four matches during the 2026 World Cup, marking another achievement for Jordanian refereeing, which will also be represented in the tournament’s final.

The presence of Jordanian officials in the World Cup final is a new milestone for Jordanian football, which also made history through the national team’s participation in the World Cup for the first time.

Argentina secured their place in the final by defeating England in the semifinals, while Spain advanced after overcoming France.
