Ammon News - Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Monday received a delegation from the Executive Council of the Arab Peace Group, headed by former Yemeni President Ali Nasser Mohammad, for talks on Arab developments, dialogue, and efforts to strengthen regional security and stability.

Issawi said Jordan bases its positions on respect for state sovereignty, support for security and stability, and the belief that dialogue and political means are the best path to addressing crises and resolving conflicts in a way that serves peoples’ interests and promotes regional peace.

Issawi said the Hashemite approach continues to build on its historical legacy in supporting Arab causes, strengthening cooperation and solidarity, and promoting moderation, coexistence and comprehensive development.

He added that Jordan is moving forward, under Royal directives, with economic, administrative and political modernization as key pillars for improving state efficiency, upholding the rule of law and advancing sustainable development.

Issawi commended the Arab Peace Group’s role in promoting dialogue, understanding and communication among Arab leaders and experts, in support of common Arab interests and cooperation in addressing regional challenges.

Delegation members praised Jordan’s role in supporting regional and international security and stability, describing the Kingdom as a model of wisdom and moderation and a respected Arab voice in international forums.

They said Jordan’s positions reflect the Hashemites’ historic role in defending Arab causes, supporting Arab solidarity and working toward a just and comprehensive peace.

The delegation also commended Jordan’s progress in economic, administrative and political modernization, saying the Kingdom’s experience reflects a strategic vision for state-building, sustainable development, human empowerment and stability.

Delegation members said the Arab Peace Group was established four years ago and registered in Jordan as an Arab association dedicated to spreading a culture of peace and dialogue and strengthening joint Arab action. Its members include Arab political, economic, academic, and intellectual figures, as well as former officials and experts from across the region.

They said choosing Jordan as the group’s headquarters reflects confidence in the Kingdom’s role in promoting peace, moderation, security, stability, and dialogue.

Both sides stressed the importance of continuing dialogue, exchanging expertise and strengthening cooperation among Arab institutions and figures to serve common interests and support peace, stability and development in the region.
