Ammon News - The number of Jordanians traveling abroad for tourism purposes reached 435,150 during the first four months of 2026.
Preliminary official data showed that the figure declined by 17.7% compared with the same period last year, when 528,558 travelers were recorded.
In January, the number of outbound tourists reached 161,709, while February recorded 104,051, March 99,153, and April 70,237, bringing the total to 435,150.
The data indicated that the sharpest decline occurred in April, when the number of travelers dropped from 113,692 in April of the previous year to 70,237 in April this year, representing a 38.2% decrease.
Previously published official figures also showed that tourism spending by Jordanians and residents traveling abroad fell by 12.9% during the first four months of 2026, reaching $562.6 million. In April 2026 alone, spending declined by 33.7%, totaling $103 million.
