Ammon News - The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) dispatched on Thursday the ninth humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon, in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the World Food Program (WFP), and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
The convoy consists of 20 trucks that were prepared and sent as part of Jordan’s ongoing efforts to support its brothers in Lebanon, respond to the humanitarian needs of affected and most vulnerable groups, and help ease living conditions while promoting public health and safety.
The JHCO's Secretary-General, Hussein Shibli, confirmed that sending the ninth convoy continues Jordan’s humanitarian role in standing by its brothers under various circumstance, noting that the organization continues to work in coordination with the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and international partners to ensure aid reaches those in need based on actual field requirements.
The JHCO expressed its appreciation and gratitude to the Syrian authorities for their significant efforts in facilitating the passage of this convoy and previous humanitarian convoys to Lebanon over recent weeks.
