Pleasant summer weather across most areas on Wednesday

Ammon News - Stable summer conditions are expected to prevail through the end of the workweek, with only a slight increase in temperatures forecast for Saturday, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

Forecasters said Tuesday will bring seasonally mild weather to most regions, while relatively hot to hot conditions are expected in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly winds are forecast to become active at intervals.

Little change is expected through Thursday and Friday, with mild summer weather continuing across the highlands, plains and other populated areas. Hot weather will persist in the Badia and low-lying regions, while moderate northwesterly winds remain active at times.

Temperatures are forecast to rise slightly on Saturday, bringing relatively hot conditions to most regions. The Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba are expected to remain the warmest parts of the country, with hot weather prevailing throughout the day.

Tuesday's temperatures are expected to reach 31 degrees Celsius in East Amman and 29 degrees in West Amman. Highs are forecast at 26 C in the northern highlands and 27 C in the Sharah highlands, while temperatures in the plains are expected to reach 30 C.

The highest readings are forecast in desert and low-elevation areas, with temperatures expected to reach 36 C in the Badia, 37 C in the northern Jordan Valley, 39 C at the Dead Sea and in Aqaba, and 40 C in the southern Jordan Valley.
