Ammon News - The members of the UN Security Council are set to hold closed consultations late Thursday on the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question.
Bahrain, with the support of Colombia, Denmark, Greece, France, Latvia, Pakistan, Russia, and the United Kingdom, requested these consultations following a letter dated June 1 from the Permanent Observer Mission of the State of Palestine concerning recent developments in the occupied Palestinian territory.
The consultations are expected to include a briefing by the Deputy Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Ramiz Akbarov.
